NICEM is launching the Charter of Political Parties in Northern Ireland Working for a Non-racist Society on Friday, 15 April 2016 at 12pm at Wellington Park Hotel (Malone Road, Belfast). The purpose of the Charter is to promote democracy, freedom of expression, rule of law and human rights protection. At the same time discourage any racist campaigning and to promote the fairness and accuracy of any election material. We firmly believe that the leaders of all parties will play a crucial role to promote race equality and fairness in our society, particularly the OFMDFM flagship policy – the Racial Equality Strategy for Northern Ireland 2015-2025.
