Minority Rights? – NICEM’s seminar

NICEM North West is pleased to invite you to the “Minority Rights?” Seminar that will be taking place on Thursday the 28th of January 2016 at 14:30 in NICEM’s office on Clarendon Street, L’Derry.

The seminar will look at the issues of the Black and Minority Ethnic communities in Northern Ireland through the prism of “Green and Orange” politics of our post conflict society. It will inform the participants of the various international and national legal mechanisms that govern race relations in the province.

Do you know your rights when it comes to the housing, access to public services, employment, discrimination in the workplace, racism? If not then the seminar will inform you of the legal framework relevant to the issues with a view to look at addressing some of them. As usual, it will be interactive event and will allow the participants to ask questions and inform us about the current local issues prevalent to the BME communities in the North West.

Hot food and tea/coffee/refreshments will be provided for the participants.
