“JASTER – THE MYSTERY SURROUNDING HEL”

The film shows one of the harrowing stories that were happening at the time of the tragic choices in the National Army, and its sequel took place in the Polish communist era. 22-year-old Stanislaw Jaster, nicknamed “Hel”, a member of the battalion of “Osa-Kosa” gene. Grot-Roweckiego, a personal emissary of Witold Pilecki, after escaping in 1942 from Auschwitz-Birkenau, as a result of the extraordinary, tragic coincidence was wrongly accused of collaborating with the Gestapo, convicted and executed without trial and judgment. The film is a symbolic attempt of rehabilitation and explanation of “white spots” in Polish history.
MAŁGORZATA WALCZAK Born in Warsaw. Director, screenwriter and producer. Graduated from the National Theater Academy in Warsaw. Co-owner of Zoyda Art Production.
MAREK TOMASZ PAWŁOWSKI Born in 1963. Director, screenwriter, producer and educator. Graduated from the National Theater Academy in Warsaw, Directing Department. Producer and director of many theater performances, TV productions and internationally acclaimed documentary films, including “The Forbidden Love. A Story of Bronia and Gerhard” (2002), “The Runaway” (2007), “The Heartbroken Circus” (2009), all played at the PFFA. He now completes “A Touch of an Angel.

Film przedstawia jedną ze wstrząsających historii, jakie działy się w czasach tragicznych wyborów w szeregach Armii Krajowej, a jej dalszy ciąg miał miejsce w czasach komunistycznej Polski. 22-letni Stanisław Jaster, pseudonim “Hel”, członek oddziałów “Osa-Kosa” gen. Grota-Roweckiego, osobisty emisariusz Witolda Pileckiego, po ucieczce w 1942 roku z obozu Auschwitz-Birkenau, na skutek nadzwyczajnego, tragicznego splotu okoliczności został niesłusznie posądzony o kolaborację z gestapo, w trybie nagłym bez sądu i wyroku skazany i rozstrzelany. Film jest symboliczną próbą rehabilitacji oraz wyjaśnienia “białych plam” w polskiej historii.
